The
Ask
Reuter Walton, an award-winning real estate development company, was developing an affordable living complex in Columbia Heights. They were in need of an identity that achieved a sophisticated and high-end style, while maintaining an affordable and approachable mindset.
The
Solve
This identity is open and flexible, while providing sufficient guidance to support consistency. I took inspiration from the surrounding landscape and community of Columbia Heights, to inform the identity. The brand partners the financial sensibilities of the demographic identified by Reuter Walton, to the individual residents seeking an abode in the community close to the city but still surrounded by Minnesota’s beautiful nature landscape.
The Foundation
The marks both invoke a sense of calm within the bustling Twin Cities metro area. Not only do these marks evoke each apartment as an oasis away from the city, but also the immediate surrounding area. The mark can be interpreted in many ways, from a rock kern to the sun setting over the local lake.
