Hey there

I’m Aleksandra Gurneau-Jacobs (She/Her)

I’m an Ojibwe artist and graphic designer creating and residing in Minneapolis, MN.

In my 6 years of professional experience, I have become agile in successful digital and in-store marketing campaigns, large scale production, event design, and individual project management.

I find success and joy in working to creatively solve problems and craft multi-dimensional and meaningful narratives. As a freelancer I’ve had the pleasure of working with a handful of local organizations and non-profits. I look for projects based in uplifting minority communities, especially those supporting my Native relatives.

My current obsessions are beading, illustration downhill skiing, starting new creative hobbies, and rediscovering my joy of reading.

  • I have worked with AICHO (American Indian Community Housing Organization), Springboard for the Arts in St. Paul, Take Action MN, The University of Minnesota, and Ua Si Creative.

  • My all time favorite book is Pride and Prejudice.

I would give five starts to:
    James by Percival Everett
    There There by Tommy Orange
Did You Hear About Kitty Karr by Crystal Smith Paul

    My guilty pleasure:
The ACOTAR Series by Sarah J. Maas
    Anything by Emily Henry

    What I am currently reading:
    Katabasis by R.F. Kuang
The Truth According to Ember by Danica Nava
